Currently I am an Animation and Game design student, however next year I am changing my course into doing Art and Design Level 3. I would mainly like to focus on doing 2D drawings

 because that’s what I feel I’m strong at.

 

During this year in West Thames College I learned what my weaknesses are as a Animation.

and Game Design student, I struggled with 3D modelling and applying asserts, I did not reallyenjoy creating video games as I found it quite difficult. Since I’m changing into Art’s next year

I will be going something that I enjoy, which is showing my creative side, doing life drawing,

 painting and mostly focusing on 2D drawings.  

 

The main reason why I’m changing my course is because I changed my mind about going to University and studying animation, instead I decided to go back into studying Art and Design

 for a year. In about 2 or 5 years time I see my self as a story board artist at some company, 

although I’m not planning into going University I am still able to get the job in the industry I 

want without a degree. As a story board artists my job would require me to be able to 

illustrate the narrative, draw panels which would show what happens between scenes, have good drawing skills and be able to change between different range of styles, I would also 

need to have a highly film literate with a good understanding of layout, and sequential 

drawing and editing. I learned a lot about those things during this year of studying Animation and Game design, so in order to meet my goal I have to finish off college with the best 

grade as I can, draw a lot in my own time and start looking for opportunities.
